Cu(I)-thioether coordination complexes based on a chiral cyclic β-amino acid ligand [PDF]
Coordination complexes, particularly metalloproteins, highlight the significance of metal-sulfur bonds in biological processes. Their unique attributes inspire efforts to synthetically reproduce these intricate metal-sulfur motifs.

Biochar-Modified Layered Double Hydroxide for Highly Efficient on Phenol Adsorption
All activities require drinking water. The existence of waste makes water unfit for consumption. Phenol waste is one example of waste that is often found.

On the Complexity of Coordination [PDF]
Many results on repeated games played by finite automata rely on the complexity of the exact implementation of a coordinated play of length n. For a large proportion of sequences, this complexity appears to be no less than n. We study the complexity of a coordinated play when allowing for a few mismatches.

The complexity of social coordination [PDF]
Coordination is a challenging everyday task; just think of the last time you organized a party or a meeting involving several people. As a growing part of our social and professional life goes online, an opportunity for an improved coordination process arises. Recently, Gupta et al.

We initiate the study of a quantity that we call coordination complexity. In a distributed optimization problem, the information defining a problem instance is distributed among $n$ parties, who need to each choose an action, which jointly will form a solution to the optimization problem.

On the complexity of parallel coordinate descent [PDF]
In this work we study the parallel coordinate descent method (PCDM) proposed by Richtárik and Takáč [26] for minimizing a regularized convex function. We adopt elements from the work of Xiao and Lu [39], and combine them with several new insights, to obtain sharper iteration complexity results for PCDM than those presented in [26].
