pH effect on hydrothermal synthesis of the coordination polymers containing pyrazine-2,3-dicarboxylate: Investigation of thermal stability, luminescence and electrical conductivity properties

open access: yesJournal of the Turkish Chemical Society, Section A: Chemistry, 2020
Hydrothermal reactions of lanthanide(III) salt with 2,3-pyrazinedicarboxylic (2,3-pzdc) acid yielded the coordination polymers [La2(2,3-pzdc)3(H2O)]n.3nH2O (1) and [La2(2,3-pzdc)3(H2O)]n.2nH2O (2).

Coordination polymers utilizing N-oxide functionalised host ligands

open access: yes, 2012
Pyridyl functionalized host molecules are oxidized to their N-oxide analogues and form a series of coordination polymers and discrete complexes with transition metal cations.

In-situ self-crosslinking strategy for autonomous self-healing materials

open access: yesnpj Materials Degradation, 2023
Autonomous self-healing anticorrosion protective coatings from intrinsic polymers is a great challenge. In this work, in-situ self-crosslinking strategy was demonstrated for constructing self-healing anticorrosion polymers.

Thiazole- and Thiadiazole-Based Metal–Organic Frameworks and Coordination Polymers for Luminescent Applications

open access: yes, 2019
This mini-review focuses on the 2015–2019 literature survey of thiazole- and thiadiazole-containing Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and Coordination Polymers (CPs) exploited in the applicative field of luminescent ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Coordination-Driven Heterochiral Self-Assembly: Construction of Cd(II) Coordination Polymers with Sorption Behaviors for Iodine and Dyes

open access: yes, 2023
A racemic bispyridyl ligand (L) was synthesized via a Schiff base condensation reaction. Four Cd(II) complexes, {[CdL2Cl2]·2DMF}n (1), [CdLI2]n (2), {[CdL2Br2]·4H2O}n (3), and {[CdL2(H2O)2](NO3)2·2CH3OH·8H2O}n (4), were synthesized and further ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Coordination Polymers Constructed from Oligonuclear Nodes

open access: yesCHIMIA, 2013
The node-and-spacer approach is widely employed in crystal engineering to construct coordination polymers. It consists of self-assembly processes involving mononuclear cationic species and exo-dentate ligands.
