The influence of copper homeostasis genes copA and copB on Xylella fastidiosa virulence is affected by sap copper concentration.

open access: yesPhytopathology, 2021
Xylella fastidiosa is a xylem-limited plant pathogenic bacterium that causes diseases worldwide in crops such as grape, citrus, and olive. Although copper (Cu)-containing compounds are not used for management of X.

Bio‐templated Piezoresistive Yarn for High Sensitivity Movement Monitoring Textiles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a conductive coating by biotemplating silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) onto a Potato virus A (PV) particle network, cross‐linked on co‐polyamide‐starch (CoPA‐SS) coils. The combination of CoPA‐SS's shape memory and PV‐AgNP's piezoresistivity achieved high strain sensitivity and minimal hysteresis.

A Defect in Thymic Tolerance Causes T Cell–Mediated Autoimmunity in a Murine Model of COPA Syndrome

open access: yesJournal of Immunology, 2020
Key Points A COPA syndrome mouse model develops lung disease that mirrors that in patients. Mutant Copa in thymic epithelial cells impairs thymocyte selection. T cells are important drivers of lung disease in CopaE241K/+ mice. COPA syndrome is a recently

IL‐6 receptor blockade for allograft dysfunction after lung transplantation in a patient with COPA syndrome

open access: yesClinical & Translational Immunology, 2021
COPA syndrome is a genetic disorder of retrograde cis‐Golgi vesicle transport that leads to upregulation of pro‐inflammatory cytokines (mainly IL‐1β and IL‐6) and the development of interstitial lung disease (ILD).

Effects of Day‐Patient Treatment on Eating Disorder Symptoms in Persons With Bulimia Nervosa: A Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesEuropean Eating Disorders Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Outpatient treatment for bulimia nervosa (BN) often fails to reduce core symptoms like binge eating and purging, while inpatient care is costly and separates patients from their everyday environment. Day‐patient treatment offers a middle ground by providing intensive daytime therapy with the opportunity to apply skills at home.

An Exact Method for Reliable Shortest Path Problems With Correlation

open access: yesNetworks, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Shortest path problems often arise in contexts where travel times are uncertain. In these settings, reliable paths are often valued more than paths with lower expected travel times. This has led to several variants of reliable shortest path problems (RSPP) that handle travel time reliability differently. We propose an algorithmic framework for
