Random copolymers at a selective interface: many chains with excluded volume interactions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1997
We investigate numerically, using the bond-fluctuation model, the adsorption of many random AB--copolymers with excluded volume interactions at the interface between two solvents. We find two regimes, controlled by the total number of polymers. In the first (dilute) regime, the copolymers near the interface extend parallel to it, while in the second ...

Regioselective and Anisotropic Multi‐Patching of Small Microparticles via a Polymer Brush‐Assisted Microcontact Printing (µCP)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A method to fabricate anisotropic SiO2 patchy microspheres is presented using a modified microcontact printing technique. This involves a PDMS elastomer stamp with grooved surface topography, creating a confined environment for the microspheres.

A Homeostatic Photonic Device Integrating Vapor‐Regulated Thermo‐Optical Feedback Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An inorganic homeostatic photonic device is designed to autonomously regulate light, temperature, and vapor sorption through integrated positive and negative feedback mechanisms at multiple wavelengths. The device uses a graded mesoporous 1D photonic crystal coupled with a photothermal layer.

Effect of Branching on Phase Behaviors of ABC Triblock Copolymers in Nonfrustrated Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
The phase behavior of linear dendritic triblock copolymer melts(AB2C4) is studied by self-consistent-field theory (SCFT) in order to find the effects of branching on the phase behavior of ABC linear triblock copolymer melts. We focus on a nonfrustrated parameters that \c{hi}NAB=\c{hi}NBC=\c{hi}NAC=40 where A/C interface will not form.

Copolymer Composition

open access: yes, 1989
The successful synthesis of new materials via free radical copolymerization requires a thorough understanding of the factors that control the structures of copolymer chains. Of the primary structural variables used to describe polymer chains, two (copolymer composition and comonomer sequence distribution) are unique to copolymers.

Self‐Poled Halide Perovskite Ruddlesden‐Popper Ferroelectric‐Photovoltaic Semiconductor Thin Films and Their Energy Harvesting Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐dimensional halide perovskite thin films, (BA)2(MA)n‐1PbnBr3n+1 (n = 1, 2), exhibit both semiconducting and ferroelectric properties, enabling mechanical and light energy harvesting. Using Cr/Cr₂O₃ or PCBM as barrier layers ensures reproducible ferroelectricity.

Coil-Globule Transition for Regular, Random and Specially Designed Copolymers: Monte Carlo Simulation and Self-Consistent Field Theory [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
The coil-globule transition has been studied for A-B copolymer chains both by means of lattice Monte Carlo simulations using bond fluctuation algorithm and by a numerical self-consistent field method. Copolymer chains of fixed length with A and B monomeric units with regular, random and specially designed (protein-like) primary sequences have been ...

Using Recycled Materials in a Novel Dual Binder System for Hard Carbon Anodes: Closing the Loop Toward Sustainable Li‐/Na‐ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study explores for the first time the use of polyvinyl butyral (PVB), particularly recycled PVB, as a sustainable binder for Li/Na‐based electrodes in the framework of the H2020 SUNRISE EU project. Findings revealed that electrodes bound with a sustainable PAA/PVB mixture demonstrated exceptional rate capability and high initial Coulombic ...

Study of the influence of forming conditions on the properties of gel-fibers from copolymers of acrylonitrile, methyl acrylate and 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid

open access: yesVestnik of Vitebsk State Technological University
The aim of the work is to study the effect of the acid comonomer content and forming conditions on the dyeability of gel fibers based on copolymers of acrylonitrile (AN), methyl acrylate (MA) and 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS). For this
