Study on Grinding Mechanism of Brake Pad with Copper Matrix Composites for High-Speed Train
The processing mechanism of copper matrix composites is very complex, for the particle phase and lubricating phase are randomly distributed in the copper matrix phase, and the characteristics of the three phases are completely different.

Two resonant magnetic modes in an overdoped high-$\bf T_c$ superconductor
A detailed inelastic neutron scattering study of the overdoped high temperature copper oxide superconductor ${Y_{0.9}Ca_{0.1}Ba_{2}Cu_3O_{7}}$ reveals two distinct magnetic resonant modes in the superconducting state.

Development of an analytical model for the extraction of manganese from marine nodules [PDF]
Multivariable analytical models provide a descriptive (albeit approximate) mathematical relationship between a set of independent variables and one or more dependent variables.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

The toxicity of the copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NP) has been attributed to the so-called “Trojan horse”-type mechanism, relying on the particle uptake and extensive intracellular release of copper ions, due to acidic pH in the lysosomes. Nevertheless,

Q-based design equations for resonant metamaterials and experimental validation [PDF]
Practical design parameters of resonant metamaterials, such as loss tangent, are derived in terms of the quality factor $Q$ of the resonant effective medium permeability or permittivity.

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...
