Copper sulfate acute ecotoxicity and environmental risk for tropical fish

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Biological Sciences, 2014
The aim of this study was to estimate copper sulfate acute toxicity and to determine death percentage and environmental risk on guppy fish (Phallocerus caudimaculatus), zebrafish (Brachydanio rerio), mato grosso (Hyphessobrycon eques), and pacu ...

Simultaneous recovery of metals and degradation of organic species: Copper and 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4,5-T)

open access: yes, 2009
In mixed wastewater streams, the presence of metal ions can retard the destruction of organic contaminants and the efficiency of recovery of the metal is reduced by the presence of organic species.

Ratiometric Mycotoxin Detection in Living Plants With Dual‐Emissive Nanosensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A minimally invasive microneedle patch integrates carbon dot‐embedded metal–organic frameworks as nanosensors to detect a key fungal toxin in living plants. The nanosensor produces a ratiometric fluorescence signal that enables early, non‐destructive diagnosis of fungal infection before visible symptoms, offering a new biomaterials‐based strategy for ...

On‐Water Surface Synthesis of 2D Conjugated Metal–Organic Framework Films With Controllable Layer Orientation Enabling High‐Performance Chemiresistive Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Layer orientation dictates charge transport in 2D conjugated metal–organic frameworks, yet controllable methods remain scarce. We report surfactant monolayer‐assisted on‐water synthesis of cm2‐scale Ni‐HHTP films with programmable face‐on and edge‐on orientations.

The effect of sumedazole (hexaaquagexaimidazole copper (II) sulfate) on the functional state of the liver [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
The effect of sumedazole (hexaaquagexaimidazole copper (II) sulfate) on excretory and neutralizing liver functions in rabbits and white mice was studied by phenolphthalein loading and hexanal assay methods.

EFFECTS OF COPPER SULFATE TREATMENT ON EUTROPHIC URBAN LAKE PHYTOPLANKTON COMMUNITIES

open access: yes, 2009
Copper sulphate treatment is widely used as a global and empirical method to remove or control phytoplankton blooms. We tested the acute toxicity of 5 species of familiar microalgae and gave an urban lake copper sulfate treat in order to illuminate how ...

High‐Power Rapid Laser‐Induced Synthesis of Multi‐functional Cobalt Metal‐Organic Framework With an Unprecedented Synthesis Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Laser‐assisted synthesis enables rapid (within 1 h) and high‐yield (≥90%) production of Co‐MOFs with mesoporous structures, tunable magnetic and optical properties, and efficient adsorption of N2, CH4, and CO2 for low‐energy gas separation. DFT calculations elucidate the electronic structure and adsorption behavior.

The physicochemical and flotation characteristics of fine sphalerite activator

open access: yesDiscover Applied Sciences
Technological challenges are encountered in the flotation recovery of zinc minerals from polymetallic ores. Typically, copper-lead-zinc ores are processed through a preliminary bulk flotation of all sulfide minerals, followed by separation of the bulk ...

The kinetics of the dissolution of chalcopyrite in chloride media

open access: yes, 2009
One of the most important outstanding problems with the hydrometallurgy of copper is the low temperature leaching of chalcopyrite. In this thesis, a fundamental study at low temperature was undertaken in order to establish a mechanism, which is ...
