Studies on the Chemical Constitution of Copra Meals
Journal of the agricultural chemical society of Japan, 1949 By using 95% warm alcohol, hot water and 1% N2OH solution as solvents, we have studied on the carbohydrates of copra meals and decided that the copra meals contained mannane, glucose, fructose, galactose, xylane and xylose.

Journal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL, 1999 Abstract A minicolumn (MC) method for determining aflatoxins in copra meal was optimized and validated. The method uses methanol–4% KCI solution as extractant and CuSO4 solution as clarifying agent. The chloroform extract is applied to an MC that incorporates “lahar,” an indigenous material, as substitute for silica gel.
