Performance assessment of the complex repairable system with n-identical units under (k-out-of-n: G) scheme and copula linguistic repair approach

International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, 2021
PurposeThis paper analyzed a complex system consisting n-identical units under a k-out-of-n: G; configuration via a new method which has not been studied by previous researchers. The computed results are more supportable for repairable system performability analysis.Design/methodology/approachIn this paper, the authors have analyzed a complex system ...

Novel operations for linguistic neutrosophic sets on the basis of Archimedean copulas and co-copulas and their application in multi-criteria decision-making problems

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2019
Operations for linguistic neutrosophic numbers (LNNs) have been receiving considerable attention. Existing LNNs operations are generally based upon Archimedean triangular norm and triangular conorm. However, the existing operations fail to consider the correlation among variables.

Modeling of Acoustic Signal Energies with a Generalized Frank Copula. A Linguistic Conjecture is Reviewed

Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2014
In this article a generalized Frank copula was selected to model the dependence between the energy on two frequency bands of the speech signal, coming from eight languages. An algorithm was developed that uses maximum likelihood to choose the best fitting copula’s parameters.

14. Linguistic and social predictors of copula use in Galician Spanish

2007
Although the two copular verbs, serandestar‘to be’, have been the subject of extensive debate in theoretical linguistics (Fernández Leborans 1999), less in known about how the use of these two verbs varies from one Spanish-speaking region to another. The sociolinguistic research conducted to date (de Jonge 1993; Díaz-Campos & Geeslin 2004; Gutiérrez

A new computational model based on Archimedean copula for probabilistic unbalanced linguistic term set and its application to multiple attribute group decision making

Computers & Industrial Engineering, 2020
Abstract This paper proposes the concept of the probabilistic unbalanced linguistic term set which considers not only the probability of linguistic variables but also the non-uniform and non-symmetric distribution of linguistic labels. A new computational model on basis of Archimedean copula and corresponding co-copula is developed to deal with ...

Performance estimation of honeynet system for network security enhancement via copula linguistic

2023
Honeypots are computer systems that deceive cyber attackers into believing they are ordinary computer systems designed for invasion, when in fact they are primarily designed to collect data about attack methods, resulting in better protection and defense against malicious actors. As a result, developing reliability metrics for measuring the performance,

Copula Absence in Samana English: Implications for Research on the Linguistic History of African-American Vernacular English

American Speech, 1997

Defining the envelope of linguistic variation: The case of “don't count” forms in the copula analysis of African American Vernacular English

Language Variation and Change, 1997
ABSTRACTEver since Labov, Cohen, Robbins, and Lewis's (1968) pioneering study, it has been commonplace to set aside certain tokens in analyzing variability in the English copula as “don't count” (DC) forms. These cases are most often occurrences of the copula that exhibit categorical behavior (as with the full copula in clause-final position), as well ...
