Canadian Journal of Cardiology, 2015Cor triatriatum sinister is a rare condition caused by a membrane in the left atrium, resulting in left ventricular inflow obstruction. This developmental anomaly is usually diagnosed in childhood. However, a rare presentation during adulthood is observed when the membrane is incomplete. Surgical excision of the membrane is the first line of treatment.

Journal of Small Animal Practice, 2000A heart murmur was detected in a five‐month‐old Persian chinchilla cat. The animal was referred to Nihon University Animal Medical Center where radiographic examination revealed an enlarged heart with dilation of pulmonary arteries and veins and pulmonary oedema.
