A first characterization of the leaflet endophytic prokaryotic community in Dioon cycads
This study presents the first characterization of leaflet endophytic prokaryotic communities in Mexican cycads of the genus Dioon. Using 16S rRNA metabarcoding, we describe the composition and diversity of foliar bacterial communities across species and biogeographic regions, highlighting patterns potentially shaped by environmental conditions.

Threats to cycad biocultural heritage in the Amami Islands, Japan
The central point we seek to frame in this article is that the increasing infestations of cycad aulacaspis scale in the Amami guntō existentially threaten not only the islands' sotetsu but rather entire cultural systems and natural ecologies that have developed around these plants.

Cobalt‐Based Materials in Supercapacitors and Batteries: A Review
Cobalt (Co)‐based materials are appropriate as electrode materials in energy storage devices. A combination of Co and ferrite materials such as nickel, zinc, and copper, or Co with nonferrite materials such as metal–organic frameworks and layered double hydroxides has sparked applied research.

High‐abundance and low‐cost anodes for sodium‐ion batteries
Sodium‐ion batteries are now being considered as the most appealing alternatives to their lithium‐ion battery counterparts for large scale applications, which required thorough consideration of the cost factor. This review firstly summarized advanced anode materials for SIBs containing high abundance and low‐cost elements and various improved ...

Abstract The restriction of plant‐symbiont dinitrogen fixation by an insect semiochemical had not been previously described. Here we report on a glycosylated triketide δ‐lactone from Nephrotoma cornicina crane flies, cornicinine, that causes chlorosis in the floating‐fern symbioses from the genus Azolla. Only the glycosylated trans‐A form of chemically
