A Population‐Based Study of Limb Body Wall Complex With Proposed Features for Prenatal Diagnosis

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 197, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Limb body wall complex (LBWC) is a lethal condition comprising major congenital anomalies. Although currently diagnosed in the early prenatal period, historical diagnostic criteria are based on detailed pathological assessments. Prenatal and postnatal findings of LBWC and their phenotypic overlap with body stalk anomaly (BSA) and recurrent ...

Umbilical cord serum insulin‐like growth factor‐1 is associated with growth of fetal fractional limb volume: A prospective study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 104, Issue 11, Page 2102-2108, November 2025.
Cord serum IGF‐1 level was positively associated with fetal fractional limb volume (a parameter for quantifying fetal soft tissue development) in late gestation. Fractional limb volume may be an earlier and more sensitive ultrasound parameter affected by serum IGF‐1 level than estimated fetal weight.

Red blood cell alloimmunization and pregnancy: Diagnosis and management

open access: yesPregnancy, Volume 1, Issue 5, September 2025.
Abstract Red blood cell alloimmunization in pregnancy is a major cause of hemolytic disease of the fetus and neonate (HDFN), which can lead to fetal anemia, hydrops fetalis, and perinatal morbidity and mortality. The implementation of routine RhD prophylaxis has significantly reduced the incidence of RhD alloimmunization, especially in high‐income ...

Neonatal outcomes among pregnancies with red cell alloimmunization requiring doppler monitoring without intrauterine transfusion: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesPregnancy, Volume 1, Issue 5, September 2025.
Abstract Introduction Red cell alloimmunization in pregnancy occurs when a pregnant person develops antibodies against red blood cell antigens that are foreign to her. These antibodies can cross the placenta and cause hemolytic disease in the fetus and newborn (HDFN), which can lead to complications ranging from anemia and hyperbilirubinemia to ...
