Seven Days of Voice Rest Post‐phonosurgery Is Not Better than 3 days: A Prospective Randomized Short‐term Outcome Study

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 134, Issue 11, Page 4661-4666, November 2024.

We aimed to assess recurrence patterns of Reinke's edema (RE) following phonomicrosurgery and compare current and former smokers' outcomes. We found low overall recurrence rates after microflap excision of RE lesions compared to historical data, without any significant difference in recurrence or voice outcomes when comparing current and former smokers.
