Description of the female of Cordulegaster vanbrinkae (Lohmann, 1993) (Odonata: Anisoptera: Cordulegastridae)

The female of Cordulegaster vanbrinkae is described and illustrated, basing on four specimens collected in Gīlān and Māzandarān Provinces, northern Iran. Their characters and variability are shown and compared with females of other Cordulegaster species.

Thecagaster charpentieri iranica ssp. nov.—description of the exuviae and the imagines (Odonata: Cordulegastridae)

A new subspecies Thecagaster charpentieri iranica ssp. nov. is described. It is a large and impressive cordulegastrid restricted to Southeast Iran. This region represents the southeastern limit of the genus Thecagaster Selys, 1854 and of the family Cordulegastridae in the West Palaearctic.

First evidence of the occurrence of cordulegaster insignis Schneider, 1845 in Serbia (Anisoptera: Cordulegastridae)

Two C. insignis specimens from Serbia were found in the collection of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina. These constitute both the first record of the sp. in Serbia and its north-westernmost record worldwide. The distribution of the sp. in Europe and the taxonomic characters of the specimens are presented and discussed.
