Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Interbank tiering and money center banks [PDF]

open access: yes
Interbank markets are tiered rather than flat, in the sense that many banks do not lend to each other directly but through money center banks which act as intermediaries.

Dwelling Quietly in the Rich Club: Brain Network Determinants of Slow Cortical Fluctuations

open access: yes, 2015
For more than a century, cerebral cartography has been driven by investigations of structural and morphological properties of the brain across spatial scales and the temporal/functional phenomena that emerge from these underlying features.

The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.

The Core‐Periphery Model Under Additively Separable Preferences

open access: yesJournal of Regional Science
ABSTRACTThis paper reexamines Krugman's core‐periphery model by substituting his constant elasticity of substitution (CES) utility with a general additively separable utility that comprehensively captures the pro‐competitive effect while preserving the income effect.

Prediction Model for Etiologic Differentiation of Isolated Vestibular Syndrome in Emergency Settings

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to develop and validate a predictive model for differentiating central from peripheral etiologies in patients with isolated vestibular syndrome (VS). Methods In this multicenter retrospective cohort study, 506 patients with isolated VS from five hospitals were divided into derivation (n = 301) and validation (n = 205)

Economic Geography and the Fiscal Effects of Regional Integration, [PDF]

open access: yes
In models of economic geography, plant-level scale economies and trade costs create incentives for spatial agglomeration of production into a manufacturing core and agricultural periphery, creating regional income differentials.

Insights Into the Antigenic Repertoire of Unclassified Synaptic Antibodies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective We sought to characterize the sixth most common finding in our neuroimmunological laboratory practice (tissue assay‐observed unclassified neural antibodies [UNAs]), combining protein microarray and phage immunoprecipitation sequencing (PhIP‐Seq). Methods Patient specimens (258; 133 serums; 125 CSF) meeting UNA criteria were profiled;

AI-Driven Modeling of the Energy Transition in the SPRING-F Group: A Hybrid Panel ARDL and Machine Learning Approach

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This study analyses the dynamics of the energy transition within the SPRING-F group (Spain, Poland, Romania, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, France) through a hybrid approach that combines econometric panel ARDL models with machine learning algorithms ...

Pertinent Emplacement of Shear Walls to Diminish the Torsional Effects in Asymmetric-RC Framed Buildings [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
In seismic conditions, asymmetric structures typically experience lateral deflection. The magnitude of this deflection is dependent on various factors, including the configuration of the structural system, the mass of the structure, and the mechanical ...
