No-Core Shell Model Analysis of Light Nuclei

open access: yes, 2012
The fundamental description of both structural properties and reactions of light nuclei in terms of constituent protons and neutrons interacting through nucleon-nucleon and three-nucleon forces is a long-sought goal of nuclear theory.

Tuning the Selectivity of the CO2 Reduction Reaction by Means of Synergistic Interactions in the Cu, Ag, Ce System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multi‐metal Cu─Ce─Ag nanoparticles harness synergistic interactions to drive efficient electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction toward C2+ products at high current densities. Ag enhances CO production, Ce modulates Cu oxidation states, and together they boost *CO coverage and local pH to enhance C─C coupling, enabling record C2+ yields with suppressed ...

Controllable synthesis of ZnO-based core/shell nanorods and core/shell nanotubes

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2011
A facile electrochemical route has been developed for the synthesis of ZnO/amorphous metal oxide core/shell nanorods and ZnO/polymer hybrid core/shell nanotubes, and the prepared composites showed exceptional electrochemical and optical properties.

Stabilization of Miscible Aqueous Phases via Diffusion‐Controlled Multifunctional Nanoparticle‐Ligand Complexation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.

Controlled Coulomb effects in core-shell quantum rings

open access: yes, 2017
We analyse theoretically the possibilities of contactless control of in-gap states formed by a pair of electrons confined in a triangular quantum ring. The in-gap states are corner-localized states associated with two electrons occupying the same corner ...

Digital Actuation Control of Soft Robotic Origami With Self‐Folding Liquid Crystal Elastomer Hinges

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐folding soft‐rigid hybrid robotic origami is enabled by liquid crystal elastomer actuators with embedded Joule heating and closed‐loop digital control. Digitally addressable hinges provide reversible and programmable transitions between distinct folded states while maintaining actuation performance at high cycle counts (over 1500).

Well-controlled exchange bias effect in MnO@Mn3O4 core-shell nanoparticles with an inverted coupling structures

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
The influence of the varied thickness of antiferromagnetic (AFM) and ferrimagnetic (FiM) nanostructure in MnO@Mn3O4 core-shell nanoparticles (NPs) on the exchange bias effect has been investigated.

Ab initio description of the exotic unbound 7He nucleus

open access: yes, 2012
The neutron rich exotic unbound 7He nucleus has been the subject of many experimental investigations. While the ground-state 3/2- resonance is well established, there is a controversy concerning the excited 1/2- resonance reported in some experiments as ...
