CdSe/ZnS core-shell quantum dot assisted color conversion of violet laser diode for white lighting communication

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2019
By color-converting the violet laser diode (VLD) with a cadmium selenide and zinc sulfide (CdSe/ZnS) core-shell-quantum dot (QD) doped polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) film, the VLD + CdSe/ZnS core-shell-QD transferred white-light with improved color ...

Optical Absorption Coefficient on-center donor impurity in a spherical core/shell quantum dots [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2020
The polaronic effect on the linear, third-order nonlinear and total optical absorption coefficients have been calculated in the case of GaAs/AlAs core/shell quantum dot, with the impurity is positioned at the central radial position of the GaAs shell ...

ZnTe/CdSe type-II core/shell spherical quantum dot under an external electric field

open access: yesMaterials and Devices, 2018
We have investigated in the framework of the envelope function approximation and taking into account the dependence of the electron effective mass on radius the energy of an electron inside a ZnTe/CdSecore/shell spherical quantum dot.

Rashba effect on linear and nonlinear optical properties of a cylindrical core/shell heterojunction quantum dot

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2022
Rashba effect may play an important role in the nonlinear optical properties of heterojunction quantum dots. In this work, we have theoretically examined the effects of Rashba spin-orbit interaction on an electron in a cylindrical core/shell quantum dot (

Effect of Shell Thickness on Electron and Hole Transmission Probabilities of a ZnSe/ZnS Core- Shell Quantum Dot [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2018
In this paper we report the effect of shell thickness on transmission probabilities of electrons and holes in the strained configuration of zinc-selenide/zinc-sulphide (ZnSe/ZnS) core-shell quantum dot.

Quantum dot and electron acceptor nano-heterojunction for photo-induced capacitive charge-transfer

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Capacitive charge transfer at the electrode/electrolyte interface is a biocompatible mechanism for the stimulation of neurons. Although quantum dots showed their potential for photostimulation device architectures, dominant photoelectrochemical charge ...

Blue light-emitting diodes based on colloidal quantum dots with reduced surface-bulk coupling

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
To industrialize printed full-color displays based on quantum-dot light-emitting diodes, one must explore the degradation mechanism and improve the operational stability of blue electroluminescence.

Core–Shell Quantum Dot-Embedded Polymers for Antistatic Applications

open access: yesACS Applied Nano Materials, 2023
Electrical charges develop on the surfaces of two insulator materials when they are in contact and separated. The retention of charges on insulator polymers causes material losses and hazards in industries using these polymers. Here, we show that a set of core-shell quantum dots embedded into a common polymer can destabilize the charges on the polymer.
