The Recursive Core

Econometrica, 1995
Summary: Core allocations may be defined for infinite horizon capital accumulation models. If agents cannot trust each other in the sense of Gale, then agents may renege on their commitments; their decisions appear time inconsistent. A core allocation is a recursive core allocation provided no coalition can improve upon its consumption stream at any ...

Coral games and the core of cores [PDF]

open access: possible, 2008
Casual observation reveals that groups of people interact on many levels simultane- ously. Examples include political party formation and interaction; the interaction of ¯rms in research consortia; and labor union and confederation formation. In this paper, a model of hierarchical group structures is developed.

Low-loss Low-MDL Core Multiplexer for 3-Core Coupled-core Multi-core Fiber

Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) 2020, 2020
A fiber-based core multiplexer is designed, fabricated, and evaluated. Insertion losses vary between 0.74 dB and 0.91 dB. Digital holography reveals mode-dependent loss fluctuates between 0.3 dB and 0.9 dB across C- and L-band.

Nonmanipulable Cores

Econometrica, 1987
Summary: An effectivity function describes the blocking power of coalitions on subsets of alternatives. Given a preference profile, if any coalition blocks an alternative whenever it can, using its own power, make all of its members better off, only alternatives in the core can be reached.

Core knowledge.

American Psychologist, 2000
Abstract Research on infants’ knowledge of objects, places, and number provides evidence for core cognitive systems that capture abstract, interconnected concepts and are early-emerging, present throughout life, innate, and supportive of learning.

Algorithms for a Core and k-Tree Core of a Tree

Journal of Algorithms, 1993
Summary: We first give a one-pass algorithm for finding the core of a tree. This algorithm is a refinement of the two-pass algorithm of \textit{C. A. Morgan} and \textit{P. J. Slater} [J. Algorithms 1, 247-258 (1980; Zbl 0454.68067)]. We then define a generalization of a core which we call a \(k\)-tree core.

Core–core and core–valence double ionisation

2017
Abstract Basic concepts of inner shell double ionisation phenomena are discussed and examples are presented. An empirical model to calculate single-site K-shell double ionisation energies is proposed and the enhanced chemical shifts in double L-shell ionisation are illustrated.

The equity core and the core [PDF]

open access: possibleEconomics Bulletin, 2014
In this paper we study the equity core (Selten, 1978) and compare it with the core. A payoff vector is in the equity core if no coalition can divide its value among its members proportionally to a given weight system and, in this way, give more to each member than the amount he or she receives in the payoff vector.

From single core to multi-core to many core

Proceedings of the 16th ACM Great Lakes symposium on VLSI, 2006
Process technology advancements continue to provide designers with more transistors to utilize. In the past, this took the form of designers seeking novel techniques to support the exponential growth of clock frequency scaling. Today, clock frequency scaling has tapered and yet design is still expected to extract value from these additional transistors
