Real‐Time In Vivo Cellular‐Level Imaging During Puncture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present an artificial‐intelligence‐empowered integrative‐light‐field microendoscopy (AIM) needle that delivers real‐time in vivo, diffraction‐limited cellular‐level imaging during puncture and visualizes layered microstructures along the needle path. As a microscopic complement to CT/ultrasound, it improves sampling localization and adds preliminary

Cavitation activity induced by spring-loaded core needle biopsy devices

open access: yesScientific Reports
Core needle biopsy is a common medical procedure to obtain tissue samples with tissue architecture for pathological assessment. One prevalent method involves the use of spring-loaded core needle biopsy devices, or “biopsy guns”.

Fine-needle versus core-needle biopsy – which one to choose in preoperative assessment of focal lesions in the breasts? Literature review

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasonography, 2017
Aim: The aim of the study was to review two techniques that can be used to verify focal lesions in the breasts: fine-needle aspiration biopsy and core-needle biopsy.

Combination of needle aspiration and core needle biopsy: A new technique of stereotactic biopsy

open access: yesAsian Journal of Neurosurgery, 2016
Aim: The study aims at describing the results of using a new technique to acquire the tissue sample in stereotactic biopsy of brain lesions. Materials and Methods: The study was performed in 19 patients over a period of 5 years in which we used the new technique, i.e., Abrar and Afzal technique (AT) of obtaining tissue biopsy.

Targeting IL27RA Enhances Immunotherapy in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer by Modulating Tumor Cells and the Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IL27RA upregulation drives immune evasion in TNBC by suppressing MHC‐I expression and reprogramming T/NK‐cell states, establishing an immune‐excluded tumor phenotype. Targeting this epithelial‐intrinsic IL27RA–PI3K/AKT axis offers a promising strategy to overcome immunotherapy resistance.

Core Needle Biopsy Versus Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy: Are There Similar Sampling and Diagnostic Issues?

open access: yesClinics in Laboratory Medicine, 2003
Evidence suggests that in experienced hands fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) is highly safe and effective for the evaluation of patients who have palpable breast lesions. In most cases, FNAB leads to an appropriate clinical or surgical management. FNAB can also be effectively used in evaluation of cystic lesions under ultrasound guidance.
