Physical Modeling of Core Losses in Ferrite E-Cores
The development of advanced power electronic converters requires an accurate calculation of core losses in magnetic devices. But the losses in the widely used ferrite cores depend on the shape of the core, especially above 100kHz, meaning that core losses can not be estimated by simply scaling reference data with respect to the volume of the core.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Nonlinear Model of Tape Wound Core Transformers
Recently, tape wound cores due to their excellent magnetic properties, are widely used in different types of transformers. Performance prediction of these transformers needs an accurate model with ability to determine flux distribution within the core ...

The core-periphery model with three regions [PDF]
We study a 3-region core-periphery model à la Krugman and compare our results with those of the standard 2-region model. The conditions for the stability of the dispersion and concentration configurations are established.

We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Impaired inflammatory resolution with severe SARS-CoV-2 infection in leptin knock out obese hamster
Summary: Comorbidities, such as obesity, increase the risk of severe COVID-19. However, the mechanisms underlying severe illnesses in individuals with obesity are poorly understood. Here, we used gene-edited leptin knock out (Leptin−/−) obese hamsters to
