Models of the Earth's Core

Science, 1981
Combined inferences from seismology, high-pressure experiment and theory, geomagnetism, fluid dynamics, and current views of terrestrial planetary evolution lead to models of the earth's core with the following properties. Core formation was contemporaneous with earth accretion; the core is not in chemical equilibrium with the mantle; the outer core is

Core-Guided Model Reformulation

2020
Constraint propagation and SAT solvers often underperform when dealing with optimisation problems that have an additive (or separable) objective function. The core-guided search introduced by MaxSAT solvers can overcome this weakness by detecting and exploiting cores: subsets of the objective components that cannot collectively take their lower bounds.

Core Welfare Modeling Factors

2015
Our objective in this book is to establish welfare functions that can be used in policy. Our key factors are utility, welfare, surplus, and inequality. We have established how these are related to the politics, political economics, and approach to contract. We now view how they are connected to each other.

Modelling many-core architectures

2019
Architectural modelling has two primary objectives: (1) navigating the design space exploration, i.e. guiding the architects to arrival at better design choices, and (2) facilitating dynamic management, i.e. providing the functional relationships between workloads'characteristics and architectural configurations to enable appropriate runtime hardware ...

The Strategic Core Model

2011
The world will never go back to the way it was before 2007. In the wake of the 2007-2011 crisis nothing will ever be the same again. And strategic management is no exception to that. This great turbulence of the environment (of all the environments we have seen), these rapid and unpredictable changes it undergoes, will be a characteristic that ...
