Studies on Polyester/Waste Silk Core-spun Yarns and Fabrics
Journal of Industrial Textiles, 2009In this study, 100% polyester and silk yarns and core-spun polyester silk yarns with two core/sheath ratios are produced. Fabrics are knitted from these yarns. Effect of core positioning on sheath coverage and core-sheath ratios and plying on various properties of yarns is analyzed.

Properties of Double-Core Twin Spun Silk Yarns and Fabrics
Textile Research Journal, 1992This paper is concerned with the method of producing a novel silk/cotton composite yarn with improved tensile properties. This “double-core” twin spun yarn is made by inserting raw silk continuous filament core yarns in both spun silk and cotton strands.

The present research focused on the effects of spandex and yarn count parameters on the properties of elastic core-spun vortex yarns. The experiment and test results indicated that the various properties of elastic core-spun vortex yarns were significantly affected by spandex and yarn count.
