Impact of sensory perceptual motor core stability exercise program on trunk control in achieving independent sitting in children with cerebral palsy – a randomized controlled trial

open access: yesRevista Pesquisa em Fisioterapia
| AIM: Independent sitting, essential for children's crucial functional activities and motor development, is often impaired in Bilateral Spastic Cerebral Palsy (BSCP) due to neuromuscular control deficits. This double-blinded, randomized controlled trial

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Analytical approximations to the core radius and energy of magnetic vortex in thin ferromagnetic disks

open access: yes, 2013
The energy of magnetic vortex core and its equilibrium radius in thin circular cylinder were first presented by N.A. Usov and S.E. Peschany in 1994. Yet, the magnetostatic function, entering the energy expression, is hard to evaluate and approximate.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Singularities in ternary mixtures of k-core percolation

open access: yes, 2013
Heterogeneous k-core percolation is an extension of a percolation model which has interesting applications to the resilience of networks under random damage.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Relationship between core function and pressure pain threshold in senior women with non-specific chronic low back pain: cross-sectional study

open access: yesBrJP
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Chronic nonspecific low back pain (CNLBP) is a public health issue. Dysfunctions in muscle activation and spinal stability are estimated to directly impact pain intensity.

Stochastic Stability for Roommate Markets [PDF]

open access: yes
We show that for any roommate market the set of stochastically stable matchings coincideswith the set of absorbing matchings. This implies that whenever the core is non-empty (e.g.,for marriage markets), a matching is in the core if and only if it is ...
