Bioactive Polysulfate‐Based Nano‐Assemblies Against Virus Infection

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Nano‐assemblies with a defined brush‐like corona are developed from sulfated polyglycerol to inhibit virus infection. The sulfate residues on the surface can actively bind the virus and entrap it from entering the host cells. This nanosystem is demonstrated potent inhibition against both HSV‐1 and SARs‐CoV‐2.

Developments of Thermosensitive Hydrogel for Maxillofacial Bone Regeneration

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
Thermosensitive hydrogel with seed cells and growth factors presents a new method for bone regeneration, changing states with temperature and offering fluidity, injectability, and controlled drug release. This article reviews thermosensitive hydrogel's role in angiogenesis, neurogenesis, and osteogenesis in maxillofacial bone regeneration and discusses

Lipid Nanoparticles for Delivery of CRISPR Gene Editing Components

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
The review presents a comprehensive overview of each component of lipid nanoparticles(LNPs)and their effects on editing efficiency. It specifically highlights strategies for achieving non‐liver delivery, aiming for broader applications in gene editing. Furthermore, this review summarizes the applications of LNPs in gene editing and offers insights for ...

Beauty versus the beast: The UK public prefers less‐extreme body shapes in brachycephalic dog breeds

open access: yesVeterinary Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Brachycephalic dog breeds often exhibit a suite of extreme conformations linked with several severe and long‐term disorders. Despite this, ownership levels of brachycephalic breeds remain high internationally, with physical appearance being an important driver in their acquisition.
