Measuring Corneal Thickness with SOCT, the Scheimpflug System, and Ultrasound Pachymetry [PDF]

open access: yesISRN Ophthalmology, 2012
Background and Objective. Evaluation of agreement, repeatability, and reproducibility of central and minimal corneal thickness (CCT and MCT) measurements obtained by SOCT, the Scheimpflug system, and ultrasound pachymetry. Materials and Methods. 28 eyes of healthy patients were enrolled. Pachymetry measurements were performed with SOCT, the Scheimpflug

Standard and hypoosmolar corneal cross-linking in various pachymetry groups

open access: yes, 2015
PURPOSE: To investigate the influence of corneal thickness on the outcome of corneal cross-linking (CXL) for progressive keratoconus. METHODS: In this cohort study, 72 unilateral eyes were treated by CXL and divided into three groups according to central

Interaction between diurnal variations of intraocular pressure, pachymetry, and corneal response to an air puff: Preliminary evidence

open access: yes, 2015
Diurnal changes in corneal geometry, pachymetry, and intraocular pressure (IOP) in a healthy eye were recorded. The deformation response to an air puff was simulated using 3 levels of corneal stiffness.

Scheimpflug imaging for keratoconus and ectatic disease

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2013
Scheimpflug cross-sectioning anterior segment imaging offers significant advantages over traditional placido based curvature analysis and ultrasound pachymetry. The accurate measurement of both the anterior and posterior corneal surfaces and the anterior

In Vivo Evaluation of Injected and Bioprinted Hyaluronic Acid‐Based Bioink in Corneal Stromal Pocket

open access: yesMacromolecular Bioscience, Volume 26, Issue 1, January 2026.
Hyaluronic acid‐based bioinks support the viability of cells and keratocyte‐like characteristics. They integrate with host cornea stroma and adapt to irregular pockets through stable in situ gelation. The bioinks remain optically transparent, promote tissue remodeling, and reduce haze and inflammation.

Stromal Curvature, Power and Corneal‐Stromal Curvature Ratios From a Hybrid AS‐OCT in Eyes With Keratoconus

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Ophthalmology, Volume 54, Issue 1, Page 9-20, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background To characterise stromal curvature and curvature ratios in keratoconus (KCN) using anterior segment OCT, and to evaluate the implications of using single‐, two‐, and three‐surface refractive models for corneal power estimation in ectatic eyes. Methods Retrospective observational study.

Corneal curvature, pachymetry, and endothelial cell density in Marfan syndrome [PDF]

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, 2010
Abstract.Purpose:  To evaluate corneal curvature, pachymetry, and endothelial cell density (ECD) in Marfan syndrome (MFS).Methods:  A case–control study in which K values, pachymetry, and ECD were compared in 39 MFS eyes and 40 control eyes matched for age and refraction was conducted. MFS eyes with lens subluxation also were compared with eyes without
