Evaluation of the effectiveness of combined staged surgical treatment in patients with keratoconus
Purpose This study performs comparative assessment of the results of different types of two-stage surgical treatment in patients with keratoconus, including combination of corneal collagen cross-linking with intrastromal corneal ring segments followed by

Curvature sensor for the measurement of the static corneal topography and the dynamic tear film topography in the human eye [PDF]
A system to measure the topography of the first optical surface of the human eye noninvasively by using a curvature sensor is described. The static corneal topography and the dynamic topography of the tear film can both be measured, and the topographies ...

Forward ray tracing for image projection prediction and surface reconstruction in the evaluation of corneal topography systems [PDF]
A forward ray tracing (FRT) model is presented to determine the exact image projection in a general corneal topography system. Consequently, the skew ray error in Placido-based topography is demonstrated.

Accuracy and reliability of orthogonal polynomials in representing corneal topography
Fitting of corneal topography data to analytical surfaces has been necessary in many clinical and experimental applications, yet absolute superiority of fitting methods was still unclear, and their overfitting risks were not well studied.

Corneal Pachymetric Topography
The authors developed a system for producing topographic pachymetric maps of the corneal epithelium and anterior scar tissue. The system uses high-frequency ultrasound scanning enhanced by digital signal processing. Ultrasonic echo data from consecutive parallel B-scans of the cornea spaced at 250-microns intervals are digitized and stored.
