On the Design of Radar Corner Reflectors for Deformation Monitoring in Multi-Frequency InSAR
Trihedral corner reflectors are being increasingly used as point targets in deformation monitoring studies using interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) techniques.

Simplified Three-Cornered-Hat Technique for Frequency Stability Measurements [PDF]
We propose a novel technique allowing the use of the three-cornered-hat method with two devices under test (DUTs) and a time-tagging system that employs a common reference oscillator. The precision of a time-tagging system is reduced by fluctuations in the timebase, which are canceled when the relative phase between the two DUTs is measured.

An air cavity method for increasing the underwater acoustic targets strength of corner reflector
In order to improve the underwater acoustic target strength of corner reflectors, according to the principle of acoustic impedance mismatch of the boundary layer, the method of using air cavity to increase the underwater acoustic target strength of ...

Measured and modelled corner diffraction at millimetre wave frequencies [PDF]
Due to spectrum congestion in the commonly used mobile sub-6GHz frequencies, research and measurements in the Millimetre Wave (30–300GHz) bands are required to better understand the medium for 5G and beyond wireless connectivity. In this paper corner diffraction is investigated for an indoor environment in a modern building using a wideband (2GHz ...

High-frequency behaviour of corner singularities in Helmholtz problems [PDF]
We analyze the singular behaviour of the Helmholtz equation set in a non-convex polygon. Classically, the solution of the problem is split into a regular part and one singular function for each re-entrant corner. The originality of our work is that the “amplitude” of the singular parts is bounded explicitly in terms of frequency.

Analysis of the Badong Ms5.1 earthquake source characteristics
The mainshock location of the Badong Ms5.1 earthquake is determined using four location methods: the simplex method, HYP2000, hyposat, and locSAT; the 350 aftershocks over 3 months are relocated using the double difference location method.

Auxetic vibration behaviours of periodic tetrahedral units with a shared edge
A very low-frequency mode supported within an auxetic structure is presented. We propose a constrained periodic framework with corner-to-corner and edge-to-edge sharing of tetrahedra and develop a kinematic model incorporating two types of linear springs
