Negative corona discharge in liquid helium
IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, 2006Conductivity and ionization mechanisms in liquid helium have been investigated by using high field conduction phenomena occurring near a sharp needle electrode. When the voltage V applied between the needle and the plane is greater than some threshold voltage Vs, a corona-like discharge regime was observed.

11th International Symposium on High-Voltage Engineering (ISH 99), 1999Ofil Ltd. has developed a Bispectral Visible-Solar Blind UV video imager (DayCor Camera), that is suitable for corona and partial discharges imaging in full daylight. This system detects and locates weak corona signals in full daylight by overlaying a UV video image of the corona on a visible video image of the surrounding scene.

2014 International Conference on Manipulation, Manufacturing and Measurement on the Nanoscale (3M-NANO), 2014Continuous corona discharge under hundred volts is realized using ZnO nanowires as anode tips of a micro discharger. ZnO nanowires are synthesized using electric-field-assisted wet chemical method and a thin tungsten film is deposited on them to enhance their conductivities and discharging performances.

[1991] Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Properties and Applications of Dielectric Materials, 2002The authors consider the possibility of applying optical methods of registration of small changes in refractive index to the investigation of processes occurring during corona discharge in gases. The interferometry used makes it possible to determine changes in gas temperature on corona discharge for discharge gaps of ordinary geometry.
