Corona Discharge in Microwave Devices: A Comparison of Ionization Rate Models [PDF]
In this paper we compare the predicted Corona breakdown power threshold obtained by different ionization rate models for an infinite parallel-plate waveguide. We point out the lack of a unanimous model of the ionization rate for RF fields and study the differences in the current models.
