Diffusion‐Weighted Imaging for the Evaluation of the Sacroiliac Joint in Pediatric Patients
Objective Maturational signal in the sacroiliac joint (SIJ) of skeletally immature youth is often misinterpreted as inflammation. Diagnostic tools that improve specificity are greatly needed. Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values from diffusion‐weighted imaging (DWI), when used with standard imaging, may enhance diagnostic accuracy.

Are stainless steel elastic nails the solution to heavier children with femoral shaft fractures?
Background: The use of titanium elastic intramedullary nails for the treatment of femoral shaft fractures, in children weighing ≥45 kg, has been questioned due to the increased rates of malunion.

Background Studies have shown that on the coronal plane, whether the direction of the distal locking screw is parallel to the tangent line of the tibiotalar joint can be used to determine whether there is varus or valgus deformity after the treatment of ...

Coronal rain in magnetic bipolar weak fields
We intend to investigate the underlying physics for the coronal rain phenomenon in a representative bipolar magnetic field, including the formation and the dynamics of coronal rain blobs. With the MPI-AMRVAC code, we performed three dimensional radiative

Objective We aimed to validate the Pediatric Arthritis Ultrasound Scoring System (PAUSS) for upper extremity joints in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Methods Children with JIA were evaluated for elbow, wrist, or finger arthritis by clinical examination (CE) and musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) with images scored according to the ...

Nonlinear force-free field modelling of solar coronal jets in theoretical configurations [PDF]
Coronal jets occur frequently on the Sun, and may contribute significantly to the solar wind. With the suite of instruments available now, we can observe these phenomena in greater detail than ever before.

Coronal plane ankle alignment, gait, and end-stage ankle osteoarthritis [PDF]
Unilateral ankle osteoarthritis (OA) is a debilitating condition which may lead to limb deformity, severe pain, and functional disability due to tibiotalar malalignment and gait dysfunction. The purpose of this study was to determine if coronal plane alignment (varus, valgus, or neutral) of the ankle resulted in different spatial-temporal gait ...

This study presents the BioCLEAR system, a highly transparent and conductive neural electrode array composed of silver nanowires (AgNWs) and doped PEDOT:PSS, enabling neural recordings with minimal optical artifacts. When integrated with a GRIN lens, this cost‐effective neural implant allows simultaneous electrophysiological recording and GCaMP6‐based ...
