Interpretation of coronal synoptic observations [PDF]

open access: yes
Three-dimensional reconstruction techniques used to determine coronal density distributions from synoptic data are complicated and time consuming to employ.

Segmental Kinematic Analysis of Planovalgus Feet during Walking in Children with Cerebral Palsy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Pes planovalgus (flatfoot) is a common deformity among children with cerebral palsy. The Milwaukee Foot Model (MFM), a multi-segmental kinematic foot model, which uses radiography to align the underlying bony anatomy with reflective surface markers, was ...

The effect of knee joint rotation in the sagittal and axial plane on the measurement accuracy of coronal alignment of the lower limb

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2020
Background Although the measurement of coronal alignment of the lower limb on conventional full-length weight-bearing anteroposterior (FLWAP) radiographs was reported to be influenced by the knee joint rotation, no comparative analysis was performed ...

Targeting the ARRDC3–DRP1 Axis via hUMSC‐Derived Exosomal CRYAB for Neuroprotection in Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Intranasally administered hUMSC‐derived exosomes modulate the CRYAB–ARRDC3–Drp1 axis, alleviating mitochondrial dysfunction and ferroptosis, enhancing neuronal survival, reducing oxidative stress, and promoting functional recovery in ischemia‐reperfusion injury, offering a promising therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke.

Constraints on coronal turbulence models from source sizes of noise storms at 327 MHz

open access: yes, 2011
We seek to reconcile observations of small source sizes in the solar corona at 327 MHz with predictions of scattering models that incorporate refractive index effects, inner scale effects and a spherically diverging wavefront.

Nano‐Engineered Titanium Implants Loaded With Gingival Fibroblasts‐Derived Microvesicles Enhance Early Osseointegration And Soft Tissue Attachment In Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Our study showed that human primary gingival fibroblast–derived microvesicles on nano‐engineered titanium implants promote early osseointegration and soft‐tissue attachment in vivo. ABSTRACT Titanium dental implants require both reliable osseointegration and peri‐implant soft tissue seal formation to ensure long‐term success. While osseointegration has

Correlation between axial and coronal common bile duct diameters in computed tomography: a retrospective study of 1064 patients

open access: yesThe Egyptian Journal of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine
Background The measurement of the common bile duct (CBD) diameter is essential for evaluating bile duct pathologies. The axial plane of computed tomography (CT) images is the established method for CBD diameter measurement.

Engineered ETS1‐Nanoconjugate Restores Immune Homeostasis through Dual Immune‐Vascular Modulation in Relapsing and Progressive Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The biomimetic nanoplatform IMNP (ETS1 pDNA/PBAE@ITP‐MM) undergoes targeted disassembly at inflammatory vascular sites to release the ETS1 plasmid (pETS1). This release initiates a cascade of effects that inhibit pathogenic pathways and support immune homeostasis. (Abbreviations: EndMT, endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition; EC, endothelial cell; TC, T
