Mixed Reality‐Assisted Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair: A Retrospective Study on Efficacy and Safety

open access: yesAnnals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology, Volume 31, Issue 3, May 2026.
This study demonstrates the significant clinical utility of Mixed Reality (MR) in Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR). Our findings reveal that MR‐assisted workflows enhance patient comprehension and satisfaction preoperatively and provide intuitive intraoperative navigation.

The relationship between the cannabinoids and cardiac remodelling: A comprehensive review of pivotal mechanisms and emerging evidence

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 9, Page 1747-1778, May 2026.
Cardiac remodelling and fibrosis after myocardial infarction or during chronic diseases, such as arterial and pulmonary hypertension or diabetes mellitus, continue to be the more important prognostic factors in determining survival, and so the search for effective anti‐fibrotic interventions is an important target for research and therapy in cardiology.

B Cell Subsets and Atherosclerosis: Updates and Emerging Concepts

open access: yesImmunological Reviews, Volume 339, Issue 1, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is increasingly recognized not just as a lipid‐driven disease, but as a complex interplay between vascular cells and the immune system. Accumulating evidence highlights a central, yet heterogeneous role for B cells in atherogenesis, with distinct subsets displaying opposing roles.

Safety and Efficacy of LockeT Suture Retention Device for Large‐Bore Venous Access Closure

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 5, Page 1015-1020, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Electrophysiology (EP) procedures increasingly require large‐bore venous access (LBVA), which is associated with a higher risk of vascular complications. While vascular closure devices (VCDs) are well established for arterial access, data on venous closure—particularly for LBVA—remain limited.

Construction of a Postoperative Complication Risk Model for Patients With Stanford Type A Aortic Dissection

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Hypertension, Volume 28, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT To identify risk factors for postoperative complications in Stanford Type A aortic dissection (TAAD) patients, a risk prediction model was developed and validated. The study included a specific cohort of TAAD patients (aged 32–66 years) who underwent surgery with general anesthesia and cardiopulmonary bypass.
