Multivessel coronary artery disease (CAD): Coronary bypass surgery versus coronary angioplasty

Journal of Nuclear Cardiology, 1995
With jeopardized viable myocardium in the distributions of the left anterior descending and right coronary arteries, it was decided to perform bypass surgery. Saphenous venous bypass grafts were placed to the left anterior descending, right and obtuse marginal coronary arteries. The patient had an uneventful postoperative course and was discharged.

Automated detection of coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction and congestive heart failure using GaborCNN model with ECG signals

Comput. Biol. Medicine, 2021
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are main causes of death globally with coronary artery disease (CAD) being the most important. Timely diagnosis and treatment of CAD is crucial to reduce the incidence of CAD complications like myocardial infarction (MI ...

Coronary artery disease (CAD) in chronic kidney disease patients

Giornale di Tecniche Nefrologiche e Dialitiche, 2016
There is a great deal of data demonstrating a close association between chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cardiovascular disease, particularly coronary artery disease (CAD).

Relationship Between Systemic Immune-Inflammation Index (SII) and the Severity of Stable Coronary Artery Disease

Angiology, 2021
Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII; platelet count × neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio), a novel marker, predicts adverse clinical outcomes in coronary artery diseases (CAD). We hypothesized that SII could provide more valuable information in assessing

Systemic immune‐inflammation index (SII) predicted clinical outcome in patients with coronary artery disease

European Journal of Clinical Investigation, 2020
This study examines the predictive value of a novel systemic immune‐inflammation index (SII, platelet × neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio) in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients.

Definitions and Basic Mechanism of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)

2020
Coronary artery disease (CAD) also known as coronary heart disease (CHD) is described as the pathologic process affecting the coronary arteries, while atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD or CVD for short) is referred to as the pathological process affecting the entire arterial circulation, not just the coronary arteries.

A review on coronary artery disease, its risk factors, and therapeutics

Journal of Cellular Physiology, 2019
Coronary artery disease (CAD) is one of the major cardiovascular diseases affecting the global human population. This disease has been proved to be the major cause of death in both the developed and developing countries. Lifestyle, environmental factors,

Model and Application to Support the Coronary Artery Diseases (CAD): Development and Testing

Interdisciplinary Sciences: Computational Life Sciences, 2018
Cardiovascular diseases are among the main causes of morbidity, disability, and mortality. Most of them occur because of an atherosclerotic plaque developing within a coronary artery, which can cause a narrowing of the vessel lumen (coronary stenosis) or even break it. It is, therefore, useful to evaluate the role of the stress state of the endothelial

The expression of hSR-B1 on platelets of patients with coronary artery disease (CAD)

Clinical Hemorheology and Microcirculation, 2019
INTRODUCTION: The human scavenger receptor class B type 1 (hSR-B1), which serves as a high affinity receptor for HDL, is expressed on platelet surface and mediates various anti-atherogenic functions. Based on the anti-thrombotic effect of HDL and the importance of HDL–SR-B1 in the formation of atherosclerotic plaque, the present study was aimed to ...
