A modality‐agnostic coronary artery habitat model for cardiac sparing in radiotherapy
Abstract Background Emerging evidence suggests that the risk of cardiotoxicity increases with increased radiation dose to coronary arteries (CAs). This study shows that sickle cell disease patients have elevated high‐sensitivity cardiac troponin I (hs‐cTnI) that is not considered clinically significant but are outside of the normal range. Elevated hs‐cTnI was associated with low haemoglobin and a history of heart failure.
