Coronary-Cameral Fistula with Angina Pectoris [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Coronary-cameral fistula (CCF) is an anomalous connection between a coronary artery and cardiac chamber. Most of CCFs are discovered incidentally during angiographic evaluation for coronary vascular disorder. We report a case of CCF with angina pectoris.

FDG PET/CT imaging and circulating biomarkers of inflammation in desmoplakin cardiomyopathy

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1485-1489, April 2025.
Abstract Aims Inflammation has been implicated in the pathogenesis of desmoplakin (DSP) cardiomyopathy, and retrospective studies have described abnormal myocardial fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) findings in symptomatic patients eventually diagnosed with DSP cardiomyopathy.

Coronary artery steal secondary to coronary arteriovenous fistula.

open access: yes, 1981
Coronary arteriovenous fistula in adults may be associated with angina pectoris. It has been suggested that the cause of the angina is a coronary artery steal of blood into the fistula but this has not been demonstrated.

Right Coronary Aneurysm with Coronary Arteriovenous Fistula to Right Atrium

open access: yes, 2018
A 56-year-old man presented with shortness of breath and palpitations. Workup and evaluation revealed paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, severe tricuspid regurgitation, and a giant right coronary aneurysm with an arteriovenous fistula to the right atrium ...

Postoperative Hemoglobin and Transfusion Rates Do Not Influence Revision of Head and Neck Free Flap in a Cohort of 259 Patients

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Recent literature advocates restrictive transfusion thresholds (Hb < 7 g/dL). The aim of this study was to evaluate if postoperative hemoglobin levels and transfusions influence Free Flap Revision (FFR). Methods This single center retrospective study included all patients who underwent head and neck surgery with free flap ...

The Endothelial CXCR Family in Vascular Health and Disease

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Endothelial cells (ECs) form the dynamic interface between blood and tissue, serving as key regulators of vascular homeostasis, inflammation, and repair. Among the molecular systems governing endothelial behavior, the C‐X‐C motif chemokine receptor (CXCR) family—originally characterized in immunology for its roles in leukocyte trafficking and ...
