Chronic total occlusion recanalization concurrent to culprit primary percutaneous coronary intervention via distal transradial access: Maximizing revascularization through minimalist approach

open access: yesHeart Views, 2021
For ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients with multi-vessel coronary disease, complete revascularization is superior to culprit-only percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Coronary occlusion during coronary angiography [PDF]

open access: yesThe American Journal of Cardiology, 1975
Between January 1, 1970, and December 31, 1974, 2981 patients underwent coronary arteriography. Twelve acute coronary dissections or embolizations occurred, an incidence of 0.4%. The incidences of acute occlusions for the Sones and Judkins techniques were 0.19% (4/2077 studies) and 0.88% (8/940), respectively.

Angiographic retrograde filling of all left coronary arterial branches in a patient with chronic total occlusion of left main coronary artery

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, 2022
A 81‐year‐old female patient was referred in our hospital with episodes of pulmonary edema and had an isolated chronic total occlusion of the left main coronary artery. Coronary angiogram showed total occlusion the left main and filling the left coronary

Collateral Function in Patients with Coronary Occlusion Evaluated by 201Thallium Scintigraphy

open access: yesBiomolecules & Biomedicine, 2008
The present study evaluated the impact of the angiographically documented collaterals on regional myocardial perfusion measured by 201thallium scintigraphy in patients with a chronic total occlusion.

Recanalization of the occluded radial artery via distal transradial access in the anatomic snuffbox

open access: yesBMC Cardiovascular Disorders, 2021
Background Radial artery occlusion is a common complication after coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention via the transradial access.

Inter-arm blood pressure difference as a tool for predicting coronary artery disease severity

open access: yesOpen Heart, 2022
Background Patients with severe atherosclerosis have been found to exhibit considerable changes in blood pressure (BP) between arms. The objective of our study was to investigate the predictive value of interarm blood pressure difference (IABPD) for ...

Hypertension and Coronary Occlusion [PDF]

open access: yesCirculation, 1953
The problem of the relationship between hypertension and coronary occlusion has been re-examined. Using newly established limits of hypertension, 600 consecutive private patients with coronary occlusion—500 men and 100 women—all under 65 years of age, were studied.

Unexpected normal left ventricular systolic function after total chronic occlusion of left main coronary artery and stenosis of right coronary artery: a case report and review of the literature

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports, 2019
Introduction Total occlusion of the left main coronary artery is a very rare finding in coronary angiography because of its highly lethal nature. Right coronary artery dominance and extensive collateral circulation are the principal determinant factors ...

The De Winter‐like electrocardiogram pattern in inferior and lateral leads associated with left circumflex coronary artery occlusion

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, 2020
The aim of this report was to investigate coronary artery occlusion related to De Winter‐like electrocardiogram (ECG) pattern. A patient admitted to Zhongshan Hospital who was diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome with De Winter‐like ECG pattern was ...

A Novel Hybrid Approach to the Treatment of a Left Main Coronary Artery Aneurysm

open access: yesJACC: Case Reports, 2020
A 66-year-old man with a ramus chronic total occlusion had escalating angina and a high-risk stress test. Coronary angiography the day of his planned ramus chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention demonstrated a large left main aneurysm.
