Coronary occlusion during coronary angiography [PDF]

open access: yesThe American Journal of Cardiology, 1975
Between January 1, 1970, and December 31, 1974, 2981 patients underwent coronary arteriography. Twelve acute coronary dissections or embolizations occurred, an incidence of 0.4%. The incidences of acute occlusions for the Sones and Judkins techniques were 0.19% (4/2077 studies) and 0.88% (8/940), respectively.

Chronic total occlusion recanalization concurrent to culprit primary percutaneous coronary intervention via distal transradial access: Maximizing revascularization through minimalist approach

open access: yesHeart Views, 2021
For ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients with multi-vessel coronary disease, complete revascularization is superior to culprit-only percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Angiographic retrograde filling of all left coronary arterial branches in a patient with chronic total occlusion of left main coronary artery

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, 2022
A 81‐year‐old female patient was referred in our hospital with episodes of pulmonary edema and had an isolated chronic total occlusion of the left main coronary artery. Coronary angiogram showed total occlusion the left main and filling the left coronary

Inter-arm blood pressure difference as a tool for predicting coronary artery disease severity

open access: yesOpen Heart, 2022
Background Patients with severe atherosclerosis have been found to exhibit considerable changes in blood pressure (BP) between arms. The objective of our study was to investigate the predictive value of interarm blood pressure difference (IABPD) for ...

Hypertension and Coronary Occlusion [PDF]

open access: yesCirculation, 1953
The problem of the relationship between hypertension and coronary occlusion has been re-examined. Using newly established limits of hypertension, 600 consecutive private patients with coronary occlusion—500 men and 100 women—all under 65 years of age, were studied.
