[Restenosis after coronary angioplasty].

open access: yesTidsskrift for den Norske laegeforening : tidsskrift for praktisk medicin, ny raekke, 1990
Angiography of 169 patients who had been treated successfully with PTCA showed restenosis in 61. Of these, 38 were successfully treated with a new PTCA, and six developed a new restenosis. Restenosis usually appears during the first four months after PTCA in vessels with a diameter less than three millimeters.

A Rapid and Computationally Inexpensive Method to Virtually Implant Current and Next-Generation Stents into Subject-Specific Computational Fluid Dynamics Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Computational modeling is often used to quantify hemodynamic alterations induced by stenting, but frequently uses simplified device or vascular representations.

Microfocal X-Ray Computed Tomography Post-Processing Operations for Optimizing Reconstruction Volumes of Stented Arteries During 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics Modeling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Restenosis caused by neointimal hyperplasia (NH) remains an important clinical problem after stent implantation. Restenosis varies with stent geometry, and idealized computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models have indicated that geometric properties of ...

SGLT2 inhibitor improves the prognosis of patients with coronary heart disease and prevents in-stent restenosis

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine
Coronary heart disease is a narrowing or obstruction of the vascular cavity caused by atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries, which leads to myocardial ischemia and hypoxia. At present, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is an effective treatment

Association between BNP and in Stent Restenosis in Patients who had Undergone Coronary Angioplasty

open access: yesEurasian Journal of Medicine, 2019
Introduction: Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) is a highly sensitive and specific diagnostic tool used in prediction of cardiovascular events in patients with ischemic and non-ischemic cardiovascular heart disease.

Antioxidant system gene polymorphism and restenosis risk after coronary stenting

open access: yesКардиоваскулярная терапия и профилактика, 2008
Aim. To study the links between four polymorphisms of three antioxidant enzymes (catalase, paraoxonase, endothelial NO synthase) and restenosis risk after coronary artery stenting (CAS).Material and methods. The study included male patients with coronary

Comparison of 16-Slice Computed Tomography with Conventional Angiography to Evaluate Coronary Artery Stent Patency

open access: yesEurasian Journal of Medicine, 2019
Objective. In this study, we evaluated the utility of 16-slice MDCT (multidetector computed tomography) to assess stent patency after coronary artery stenting. Materials and Methods. Retrospective ECG-gated CT-angiography using 16-slice MDCT was

Prognostic factors for stent restenosis in patients with coronary artery disease undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention

open access: yesРациональная фармакотерапия в кардиологии
Aim. To study the relationship between plasma levels of lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transforming growth factor β (TGF-β), and the occurrence of stent restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in ...
