Catheter Ablation: Evolution and Efficiencies
ABSTRACT The present review includes a discussion the goals and pitfalls of efficiency in the medical profession, a historical perspective on the evolution of catheter ablation in the field of electrophysiology (EP), and the data regarding the relationship between efficiency and outcomes in the EP lab. Focus on efficacy is critical to maximize resource

Background Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome has the risk of sudden cardiac death. Without appropriate treatment, coronary vasospasm is also a potentially fatal condition due to ischemia-induced ventricular fibrillation.

A microstructurally motivated framework to study autoregulation in the coronary circulation
Abstract figure legend A microstructurally motivated framework was constructed to simulate coronary autoregulation in symmetrically bifurcating trees at three myocardial depths: subepicardial (subepi), midwall and subendocardial (subendo). Wall mechanics of individual vessels are governed by a constrained‐mixture model, incorporating elastin, collagen ...

A New Insight Into the Pathogenesis of Coronary Vasospasm [PDF]
See related article, pages 682–689 To elucidate the control mechanisms of coronary vascular tone is one of the central interests in cardiac pathophysiology, because ischemic heart disease is one of the major causes of death in many countries. Although the coronary vascular tone is finally determined by the contractile state of smooth muscle, exo ...

Visual Summary, case timeline of non‐ST‐elevation MI with PCI followed by cangrelor bridge for classical cesarean delivery. ABSTRACT Acute coronary syndrome is an uncommon but potentially life‐threatening complication in pregnancy, and dual antiplatelet therapy presents challenges in patients requiring cesarean delivery.

ABSTRACT Single coronary artery may present with life‐threatening ventricular arrhythmias even in the absence of structural heart disease or inducible ischemia. FFR‐CT can detect clinically relevant flow reduction despite normal functional testing, highlighting its potential role in risk stratification in patients with coronary anomalies.
