Circumflex Coronary Artery Agenesis Associated With Thoracic Great Vessels Anomalies

Journal of Thoracic Imaging, 2011
Coronary artery anomalies are identified in approximately 1% of patients who undergo angiography; among these, circumflex branch agenesis represents 0.003%. A 38-year-old woman was brought to our emergency department with clinical findings suggestive of acute myocardial infarction. Absence of circumflex branch was reported during angiography.

Anatomical consideration of the radial artery for transradial coronary procedures: arterial diameter, branching anomaly and vessel tortuosity

International Journal of Cardiology, 2005
The radial artery is currently regarded as a useful vascular access site for coronary procedures. Adequate anatomical information of the radial artery should be helpful in performing the transradial coronary procedure. Therefore, we tried to evaluate the size of radial artery, the incidence and clinical significance of anomalous branching patterns and ...

Congenital Coronary Blood Vessel Anomalies: Animal Models and the Integration of Developmental Mechanisms

Coronary blood vessels are in charge of sustaining cardiac homeostasis. It is thus logical that coronary congenital anomalies (CCA) directly or indirectly associate with multiple cardiac conditions, including sudden death. The coronary vascular system is a sophisticated, highly patterned anatomical entity, and therefore a wide range of congenital ...

[Coronary vessel anomalies in adults--harmless variation or changes with clinical significance].

Zeitschrift fur die gesamte innere Medizin und ihre Grenzgebiete, 1993
A review of 1097 consecutive coronary angiograms performed for evaluation of angina pectoris or valvular dysfunctions showed 3 patients with arteriovenous fistulas (0.25%), 6 patients with malpositions (0.55%), 29 patients with aneurysms (2.65%) and 59 patients with myocardial bridging (5.4%).

[Angina due to anatomical anomalies and to functional changes in the epicardial coronary vessels].

Cardiologia (Rome, Italy), 1992
Myocardial ischemia with normal coronary arteries can be due to anatomic or functional reasons. The more severe congenital coronary anomalies in the adulthood are the origin of the left main of the left coronary artery from the right aortic sinus, with a course between the aorta and the pulmonary trunk, and the origin of the left main from the ...

[Early ischemic lesion of the myocardium in a case of unusual developmental anomaly of the coronary vessels and coronary thrombosis].

Morphologiai es igazsagugyi orvosi szemle, 1975
An uncommon form of anomaly of coronary arteries is reported, similar to which had not as yet been published. A single right arteria coronaria was found having an only left branch with a thin vena-like wall, descending on the anterior surface of the heart.

[Coronary vessel anomaly: fistula between the right coronary artery and the left ventricle clinically presenting as aortic valve insufficiency (author's transl)].

Zeitschrift fur Kardiologie, 1980
Under more than 200 cases of coronary vessel anomalies only 33 are fistulas from the right or left coronary artery into the left ventricle. The case presented here of a fistula from the right coronary artery into the left ventricle featured the clinical picture of an aortic valve insufficiency.
