Calibration of Abnormal Brightness Area on the LED Display

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences, 2017
Due to the collection method, the acquisition environment and the LED’s own light-emitting characteristics, the effect of LED point-by-point brightness correction will be affected, which results in the abnormal brightness area on the display.

Asymptotic Density of Open p-brane States with Zero-modes included

open access: yes, 2003
We obtain the asymptotic density of open p-brane states with zero-modes included. The resulting logarithmic correction to the p-brane entropy has a coefficient - \frac{p + 2}{2 p}, and is independent of the dimension of the embedding spacetime.

A New Iterative Algorithm Based on Correction of Sensitivity Matrix for Electrical Resistance Tomography

open access: yes, 2019
Electrical resistance tomography (ERT) is used to reconstruct the resistance/conductivity distribution. Usually, a uniform distribution is assumed as the initial condition to obtain a generic sensitivity matrix, which may be very different from a ...

On Association Coefficients, Correction for Chance, and Correction for Maximum Value

open access: yesJournal of Modern Mathematics Frontier, 2013
This paper studied correction for chance and correction for maximum value as functions on a space of association coefficients. Various properties of both functions are presented. It is shown that the two functions commute under composition; and that the composed function maps a coefficient and all its linear transformations given the marginal totals to

The Impact of Tilburg Frailty on Poststroke Fatigue in First‐Ever Stroke Patients: A Cross‐Sectional Study With Unified Measurement Tools and Improved Statistics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Poststroke fatigue (PSF) and frailty share substantial overlap in their manifestations, yet previous research has yielded conflicting results due to the use of heterogeneous frailty assessment tools. Objective To evaluate the independent impact of frailty on PSF using a unified measurement system (Tilburg Frailty Indicator, TFI ...

Collective diffusion coefficient of proteins with hydrodynamic, electrostatic and adhesive interactions

open access: yes, 2007
A theory is presented for lambda_C, the coefficient of the first-order correction in the density of the collective diffusion coefficient, for protein spheres interacting by electrostatic and adhesive forces.

Prediction Model for Etiologic Differentiation of Isolated Vestibular Syndrome in Emergency Settings

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to develop and validate a predictive model for differentiating central from peripheral etiologies in patients with isolated vestibular syndrome (VS). Methods In this multicenter retrospective cohort study, 506 patients with isolated VS from five hospitals were divided into derivation (n = 301) and validation (n = 205)

curvature-squared corrections on Langevin diffusion coefficients*

open access: yesChinese Physics C
Abstract The effect of finite coupling corrections to the Langevin diffusion coefficients on a moving heavy quark in the Super Yang-Mills plasma was investigated. These corrections are related to curvature squared corrections in the corresponding gravity sector.

Accelerated Progression of Gait Impairment in Parkinson's Disease and REM Sleep Without Atonia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective People with Parkinson's disease (PD) and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep without atonia (RSWA) often have more severe gait disturbances compared to PD without RSWA. The association between the presence and expression of RSWA and the rate of progression of gait impairment in PD is unknown.
