Corrected infrared Sellmeier coefficients for gallium selenide

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics, 2005
We have measured the room-temperature refractive indices of GaSe throughout the 0.7–1.4 and 2.4–5μm ranges using the minimum-deviation method of light through a prism with polarization either parallel (extraordinary refractive index ne) or perpendicular to the crystal optical c axis (ordinary refractive index no).

Analysis and Simulation of Measured Wind Speed and Wind Speed Correction Method of Tower Under Microtopography

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2022
The operation safety of transmission lines is greatly affected by strong wind, but the previous research lacks the measured wind speed data and ignores the influence of micro topography on wind speed coefficient.

Interaction corrections to the Hall coefficient at intermediate temperatures

open access: yes, 2001
We investigate the effect of electron-electron interaction on the temperature dependence of the Hall coefficient of 2D electron gas at arbitrary relation between the temperature $T$ and the elastic mean-free time $\tau$.

Real‐time assay of ribonucleotide reductase activity with a fluorescent RNA aptamer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNR) synthesize DNA building blocks de novo, making them crucial in DNA replication and drug targeting. FLARE introduces the first single‐tube real‐time coupled RNR assay, which enables isothermal tracking of RNR activity at nanomolar enzyme levels and allows the reconstruction of allosteric regulatory patterns and rapid ...

THE EVOLUTION OF LEGISLATION REGARDING BUILDING TAX IN THE LAST TWO DECADES IN ROMANIA [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Craiova: Economic Sciences Series, 2020
In the last twenty years, the legislation on setting the tax on the buildings of individual and legal taxpayers has changed 4 times by introducing at least one novelty each time, including the change in the taxable amount per square meter, the ...

Hall effect in strongly correlated low dimensional systems

open access: yes, 2007
We investigate the Hall effect in a quasi one-dimensional system made of weakly coupled Luttinger Liquids at half filling. Using a memory function approach, we compute the Hall coefficient as a function of temperature and frequency in the presence of ...

Compensation for phase distortions in nonlinear media by phase conjugation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
We demonstrate theoretically that the distortion-correction property of phase-conjugate beams propagating in reverse through aberrating media is also operative when the indices of refraction of the media depend on the intensity.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Order alpha^3 ln(1/alpha) Corrections to Positronium Decays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The logarithmically enhanced alpha^3 ln(1/alpha) corrections to the para- and orthopositronium decay widths are calculated in the framework of dimensionally regularized nonrelativistic quantum electrodynamics. In the case of parapositronium, the ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.
