[Supramalleolar corrective osteotomy].
Der Chirurg; Zeitschrift fur alle Gebiete der operativen Medizen, 1999The general aspects for the analysis of malalignment of the low tibial region in the three-dimensional space are discussed. Recommendations of clinical and radiological diagnostics prior to low tibial osteotomies are given. Closing wedge, opening wedge, dome-shaped, distraction, rotational and step-shaped osteotomies as well as combined procedures are ...

Corrective Osteotomy for Pes Varus in the Dachshund
Veterinary Surgery, 1989Five dachshunds were treated for a distal varus deformity of one tibia. Angulations of 20° to 30° resulted from shortening of the medial tibial length with the maximum curvature at the distal metaphysis. Comparison with the contralateral limbs was required to determine the amount of correction necessary for functional and cosmetic results.

Experimental Research on Plate for Corrective Osteotomy
2012The paper presents results of experimental research on tibia fixation with the use of the stabilizing system for corrective osteotomy, developed by the authors. In particular, the biomechanical characteristics determined the dependence of displacements of the analyzed system as a function of axial loading with force of F = 0 ÷ 2000 N.

Corrective Osteotomy for Cubitus Varus Deformity
Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, 1994Between 1970 and 1992, 23 patients with cubitus varus deformities following elbow fractures underwent 26 corrective lateral-wedge osteotomies at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Internal fixation was most commonly provided by either small Steinmann pins, two screws and a figure-of-eight wire, or a small two-hole plate.

[Corrective osteotomy of the hand].
Der Unfallchirurg, 2019Fractures of fingers and metacarpals are among the most frequent injuries. Many fractures can be successfully treated conservatively. Nevertheless, various malformations, such as malrotation, spur development, bone shortening, deviation of the axis and combinations of these individual deformities may appear in the course of time.

Corrective Osteotomies of the Foot
1985Of the 50,322 compensatable first injuries treated at clinics serving the German commercial trade associations between 1976 and 1979, 6128 were injuries of the foot, and 405 of these involved the ankle joint. The calcaneus was involved in 2012 cases. Injuries of the trasus, metatarsus and phalanges were present in 2750 cases (5.46%, or 9.46% including ...

Metacarpal Malunion Correction With Crescentic Osteotomy
Techniques in Hand & Upper Extremity SurgeryFractures of the metacarpals account for 18% to 44% of all hand fractures, with malunion being the most common complication. Sagittal plane malunion may result in extensor lag, bone shortening, loss of knuckle contour, and prominent dorsal or palmar bony deformity.

Osteotomy of the tibia for correction of complex deformity
The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. British volume, 1999Twenty complex tibial deformities due to anterior poliomyelitis in 18 patients were corrected by a modified O’Donoghue osteotomy. This technique allowed correction of the deformity in three planes. This was achieved by widening the rectangular window distally to correct both rotation and valgus and by trimming the anterior edges of the step cuts to ...
