Compressive Distance Classifier Correlation Filter
2013 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2013Compressed Sensing (CS) is seen as the pathway to increase the efficiency of sensor systems such as MRI, SAR and SAS while avoiding the huge costs and related processing accompanying high-resolution data acquisition. While there has been a surge in the number of sensor systems and related algorithms using CS, target/object recognition in the sensing ...

Application of correlation filters for texture recognition
Applied Optics, 1994We propose a new statistical method to design spatial filters to recognize and to discriminate between various textures. Unlike existing correlation filters, the proposed filters are not meant to recognize specific shapes or objects. Rather, they discriminate between textures such as terrains, background surfaces, and random image fields.

A Filter Correlation Method for Feature Selection
2014 25th International Workshop on Database and Expert Systems Applications, 2014Biological data is undergoing exponential growth in volume and complexity. Often, the selection of biological features is a crucial step that aims to defy the curse of dimensionality to improve prediction performance in classification systems, facilitate viewing, understanding and analyzing data.

Iris Verification Using Correlation Filters
2003Iris patterns are believed to be an important class of biometrics suitable for subject verification and identification applications. Earlier methods proposed for iris recognition were based on generating iris codes from features generated by applying Gabor wavelet processing to iris images.

Multiresolution correlator analysis and filter design
Applied Optics, 1996The concept of multiresolution optical correlators is formally introduced. A mathematical analysis is performed for a generalized multiresolution correlator that emphasizes the roles of both input and filter spatial light modulator resolutions. Conditions are derived for overlapping and nonoverlapping correlation orders.

Adaptive Multi-class Correlation Filters
2016Correlation filters have attracted growing attention due to their high efficiency, which have been well studied for binary classification. However, by setting the desired output to be a fixed Gaussian function, the conventional multi-class classification based on correlation filters becomes problematic due to the under-fitting in many real-world ...

As described in the previous chapter, the viability of a 64 Mbps all-digital spread-spectrum receiver hinges upon the development of a low-power matched filter correlator. In a more general light, next-generation digital communications systems will increasingly rely on digital signal processing, given the rapid advances in silicon CMOS scaling and ...

Fingerprint Verification Using Correlation Filters
2003In this paper we investigate the use of correlation filters for fingerprint verification. Correlation filters have advantages such as their built-in shift invariance, closed form expressions, graceful degradation, and their ability to trade off discrimination for distortion tolerance.

Incoherent diffraction correlator with a holographic filter
Applied Optics, 1979An incoherent optical method for spatial frequency filtering is considered, based on the principle of diffraction in spatial incoherent monochromatic light. Such a method is shown to be possible in an incoherent diffraction correlator with a holographic filter.
