Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

q-DEFORMED CONFORMAL CORRELATION FUNCTIONS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2005
In this paper, we compute the general structure of two- and three-point functions in field theories that are assumed to possess an invariance under a quantum deformation of SO (4, 2). The computation is elaborated in order to fit the Hopf algebra structure.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Mathematical modeling of statistical properties of noise pulse in medium with different nonlinearity types

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2010
A mathematical model for computing statistical properties of noise laser pulses in a medium with cubic nonlinearity and generation of free charge carriers is suggested. Statistical properties analysis was executed analytically and by Monte-Carlo method.

MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF RANDOM CONCENTRATION FIELD AND ITS SECOND MOMENTS IN SEMISPACE WITH ERLANGIAN DISTRIBUTIONS OF LAYERED INCLUSIONS

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2016
The processes of admixture diffusion in a two-phase stratified semispace with random disposition of syblayers are studied by the approach where internal random nonhomogeneities are considered as inner sources and the solution is found in the form of a ...

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These
