Random surface correlation functions [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 1984
Truncated pair functions for free random surface models and Bernoulli ensembles are examined. In both cases, the pair function is shown to obey Ornstein-Zernike scaling whenever various correlation lengths of the system satisfy a nonperturbative criterion.

Determining $\Omega$ from cluster correlation function

open access: yes, 1998
It is shown how data on the cluster correlation function can be used in order to reconstruct the density of the pregalactic density field on the cluster mass scale.

Testing mode-coupling theory for a supercooled binary Lennard-Jones mixture I: The van Hove correlation function. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical review. E, Statistical physics, plasmas, fluids, and related interdisciplinary topics, 1995
We report the results of a large scale computer simulation of a binary supercooled Lennard-Jones liquid. We find that at low temperatures the curves for the mean squared displacement of a tagged particle for different temperatures fall onto a master ...

Evolution of the Cluster Correlation Function

open access: yes, 2003
We study the evolution of the cluster correlation function and its richness-dependence from z = 0 to z = 3 using large-scale cosmological simulations. A standard flat LCDM model with \Omega_m = 0.3 and, for comparison, a tilted \Omega_m = 1 model, TSCDM,

Correlation function algebra for inhomogeneous fluids

open access: yes, 1996
We consider variational (density functional) models of fluids confined in parallel-plate geometries (with walls situated in the planes z=0 and z=L respectively) and focus on the structure of the pair correlation function G(r_1,r_2).

Effects of fracture parameters and roughness on heat‐flow coupling in rock masses with two‐dimensional fracture networks

open access: yesEnergy Science & Engineering, 2021
Discrete fracture network (DFN) is an effective means of describing the coupling of heat flow in an underground fractured rock mass. In this paper, an improved DFN is proposed by introducing the correlation function of fracture trace length and aperture,

Sum rule of the correlation function

open access: yes, 2004
We discuss a sum rule satisfied by the correlation function of two particles with small relative momenta. The sum rule, which results from the completeness condition of the quantum states of the two particles, is first derived and then we check how it ...

Nucleon-nucleon momentum correlation function for light nuclei [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Nucleon-nucleon momentum correlation function have been presented for nuclear reactions with neutron-rich or proton-rich projectiles using a nuclear transport theory, namely Isospin-Dependent Quantum Molecular Dynamics model. The relationship between the

Observation of resonant photon blockade at microwave frequencies using correlation function measurements. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2011
Creating a train of single photons and monitoring its propagation and interaction is challenging in most physical systems, as photons generally interact very weakly with other systems. However, when confining microwave frequency photons in a transmission
