Abstract Fostering technique by transfer of the own-lamb odor to an alien lamb with a cotton stockinette was evaluated in 21 Corriedale ewes. Stockinettes were used on the own lamb during 1–2 days post-partum, and were transferred to an alien lamb immediately before being submitted to a 48-h fostering period.
