Carbon Markets and Green Innovation: Path‐Dependent Firm Responses to Emissions Trading

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper identifies a dynamic boundary condition of the Porter hypothesis by examining how firms' pre‐existing innovation trajectories shape regulatory‐induced green innovation within the context of a market‐based carbon policy. Building on path dependency theory, we argue that firms' responses to environmental regulation are contingent on ...

How Circular Innovation Is Learned: A Process Study of Modularity‐Based Initiatives in Industrial Firms

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Circular innovation (CI) research has identified a wide range of circular strategies and design approaches, yet offers limited insight into how CI evolves as a learning process within firms and which governance mechanisms guide this progression. Drawing on organizational learning (OL), this study examines how exploration and exploitation shape

The Circular Economy—A New Resilience Paradigm?

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The circular economy (CE) has traditionally been positioned as a central instrument of the sustainability paradigm. Yet escalating geopolitical volatility and supply chain fragility have elevated resilience to a parallel strategic imperative, and the conceptual integration of CE and resilience remains underexplored.

Co‐Creating Circular Pathways in the Fashion Industry: A Participatory System Dynamics Perspective

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Circular economy transitions in the fashion industry are frequently constrained not by a lack of reinforcing drivers but by endogenous feedback structures that limit growth as systems expand. Focusing on the Brazil context, this study identifies the dominant feedback archetypes governing circular transitions across four distinct socio ...

Corrosion of amalgams under sliding wear

Dental Materials, 1996
During mastication, dental amalgams are simultaneously subjected to corrosion by the oral environment and to a sliding-wear process by biting forces. In the present study, the effect of sliding wear on the corrosion behavior of two high-copper dental amalgams was investigated. An experimental apparatus was utilized that allows electrochemical testing ...

Technical Note: Wear Corrosion: Separation of the Components of Corrosion and Wear

Corrosion, 1992
An apparatus has been designed that permits separation of the wear and corrosion components of wear corrosion. A loaded ruby ball describes a circular track on a sheet specimen in a corrosion environment, with and without cathodic protection applied to the specimen to produce wear and wear corrosion, respectively.

Conjoint corrosion and wear in titanium alloys

Biomaterials, 1999
When considering titanium alloys for orthopaedic applications it is important to examine the conjoint action of corrosion and wear. In this study we investigate the corrosion and wear behaviour of Ti-6Al-4V, Ti-6Al-7Nb and Ti-13Nb-13Zr in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), bovine albumin solutions in PBS and 10% foetal calf serum solutions in PBS.

Corrosive Wear Principles

CORROSION 1992, 1992
Abstract The dual effects of corrosion and wear operate together in such industries as paper and pulp, coal handling, mining, and sugar beet extraction. There is a synergistic effect that causes far greater wastage to carbon steels, alloy steels, and even much more abrasion resistant cast irons.
