Sherman traps, bucket cameras, eDNA—oh, my: A comparative study of small mammal monitoring methods
Comparison of Sherman live trapping, bucket camera traps, and airborne environmental DNA (eDNA) for assessing small mammal communities in restored prairies. Bucket cameras detected the highest species richness, live trapping provided the most precise species identifications, and airborne eDNA detected unique taxa.

Heat Transfer and Flow Resistance in Crossflow over Corrugated Tube Banks
The engineering of tubes with surface corrugations is recognized as an effective method for enhancing heat transfer within the tube. Yet the impact of surface corrugation on the flow and heat transfer around the tube’s exterior remains inadequately ...

Crystal Structure and Eu2+ Luminescence of the Lithium Alkaline‐Earth Silicate Fluoride LiBa2SiO4F
With Li2BaSiO4F, a new lithium alkaline‐earth silicate fluoride could be synthesized via high‐temperature solid‐state reaction. Crystal structure and luminescence properties upon Eu2+ activation were investigated. A high‐temperature solid‐state synthesis in weld‐shut tantalum ampoules yielded a new alkaline‐earth silicate fluoride, LiBa2SiO4F.

Ionothermal synthesis in Lewis‐acidic ionic liquids (ILs) yields two new low‐dimensional pnictogen–selenide networks cocrystallized with Cu[AlCl4]. Both are narrow‐gap semiconductors that exhibit strong absorption throughout the visible range. Topochemical AlCl3 extraction triggers partial delamination, pointing to a viable route toward 2D derivatives.

REPRODUCING OPERATIONAL LANDSCAPES: The Rock Mining for Indonesia's New Capital City
Abstract Indonesia's new capital city is designed to become a green and sustainable city. In this article, we examine the (un)sustainability of the process through which the city is coming into being. Using the sociospatial theory of planetary urbanization, we trace the dialectical relationship between the new city and sites beyond it to show how ...

Overview of the mindset and long‐term goals with the approach suggested in this study. We provide a first proof of concept that male‐killing endosymbionts can be used to establish female biased populations with higher production efficiency than populations with a 50/50 sex ratio. This biological tool can have marked positive impact on future commercial
