Calculation Theory of Shear Stress Distribution in Box Girder with Corrugated Steel Webs Based on the Energy Method

open access: yesBuildings, 2023
In the shear design of corrugated steel web bridges, the shear stress distribution in the web is a more critical issue. In order to solve the calculation problem of shear stress distribution in corrugated steel webs, an energy-based method of calculating

Effect of different parameters on lateral-torsional buckling behavior of I-girders with circular corrugated webs

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Applied Science, 2022
I-girders with circular corrugated webs are considered as a new fabrication technology. The corrugation of the web considerably increases the stiffness of the cross-section to resist shear forces and also increases the out-of-plane stiffness.

Effect of shear span-to-depth ratio on behavior of sandwich core steel girder with corrugated web

open access: yesPrzegląd Naukowy Inżynieria i Kształtowanie Środowiska, 2022
Girders with corrugated steel web are preferred and widely used in recently constructed bridges and industrial buildings. Sandwich core girders with corrugated web are constructed by adding two plates (skins) to the corrugated web.

Shear behavior of stainless steel girders with corrugated webs

open access: yesJournal of Constructional Steel Research, 2023
This paper reports experimental and finite element investigations conducted to assess the shear strength of corrugated web girders in stainless steel. The steel under consideration is LDX 2101. Four trapezoidal corrugated web girders were tested under shear. All tested girders reached the shear yield strength followed by strain hardening.
