Corynebacterium minutissimum infection

Journal of Infection, 1991
Two cases of infection due to Corynebacterium minutissimum are described. On the basis of biochemical tests the organisms were thought at first to be Corynebacterium jeikeium. Methods of distinguishing between these species and the role of C. minutissimum in the pathogenesis of erythrasma and other skin infections are discussed.

Journal of Comparative Pathology, 1981
Abstract Experimental inoculation with Corynebacterium equi produced granulomas at the sites of inoculation of 2 of 3 cattle inoculated intratracheally, in 10 inoculated subcutaneously and in 4 inoculated into one prescapular lymph node. Transient pyrexia, mild local reactions, increases in circulating neutrophils and monocytes and decreases in ...

Certain characteristics of Corynebacterium pyogenes infection

Veterinary Record, 1980
Isolation, characterisation and antibiotic sensitivity of 18 strains of Corynebacterium pyogenes from different animals have been reported. All the C pyogenes isolates uniformly differed from the typical strains of this species by the utilisation of trehalose and their failure to acidify maltose.
